Libra begins its harmonious influence over the Moon at 12:23 PM PST on Friday, 28 December 2018. Marriage and partnership are favored during this lunar period and in the 6th House health concerns over mind/body/Spirit alignment are in focus. This is also a time to get organized and prepared for the coming new year. With Libra influencing, we prefer harmony and peaceful relationships with others.

Aspects

Mars and Chiron are among the strongest influences as both are in opposition to the Moon suggesting that our feelings may be at the surface during the next few days. If uncomfortable feelings emerge, acknowledge them for what they have to teach you and then let them go. Trine the South Node, our Moon asks us to reevaluate that which no longer serves and follow our heart. Our intuition is strong now, so listen to that inner voice of wisdom and let it guide the way forward. But above all, try to avoid arguments or conflict with others.

• Mode – Cardinal energies are the strongest influence suggesting an ability to rise to the occasion. With Fixed energies weakest, avoid a scattered an ineffective approach.
• Elements – Earth, Fire, and Water are essentially in balance with Air still in its weakened state suggesting a lack of objectivity present.
• Rays – The 3rd Ray of Active Intelligence brings mental acuity to initiate new projects or bring new ideas to fruition. Influences from the 7th Ray of Ceremonial Order and Magic are also present suggesting a focus on humanitarian issues of compassion and unity.

Magickal Workings

The Moon is currently waning and moves into its last quarter on the 29th. Venusian and Saturnian energies surrounding Friday and Saturday can be used in magicks involving love, partnership, as well as those that focus on grounding and the more mundane issues of life. Given Libra’s influence, magickal workings involving balance, justice, and communication are also favored. With the 15th Mansion of the Moon active, however, the witch may do well to offset its influence of conflict between partners. So, if a harmonious outcome is desired, a Mars planetary seal might be used to stop conflict before proceeding on with the working. Saturn’s seal could also be utilized in slowing or banishing negative forces. For example, the 2:00 hour can be used as well… 2 AM to remove negativity from relationships, or 2 PM to build positive relationships. Including a sigil for Hecate may also be desirable.

Overall, this may be a touchy period emotionally for folks. Take time to acknowledge any feelings that might come up and avoid harsh reactions to others. This might be a better time to clean house and focus on organizational tasks. A clean house often keeps us centered and ready to go out and meet the world. It’s odd, but it works and we avoid the nagging feeling that something is waiting for us that needs completion. It might even help us to interact with others in a more peaceful manner.
