Lunar Transits for January 9-12, 2019

The Moon transits into Pisces and the 11th House of dreams, hopes, and friendships at 11:44 AM PST on January 9, 2019. With emotions still in flux, we may have to choose between pursuing some quiet time and spending time with friends during this next lunar period. As much as we might enjoy the company of others, we might want to find a balance between fun with friends and nurturing mind, body, and Spirit. The chart is below:

Aspects

The strongest aspects with our lovely Moon involve Venus and Uranus. The Moon in square with Venus suggests that a relationship with a significant other may be experiencing some difficulty and it might be best with emotions in flux to step back and take a neutral focus. In sextile with Uranus, flexibility continues to be important during this lunar period. Balance unexpected opportunity spent with friends and family with time for yourself. Additional aspects involve Ceres and Pallas. Also known as Minerva, the Moon in trine with Pallas asks us to follow our intuition and develop a plan before initiating anything new. However, in square with Ceres, we may find that relationships with other females challenging during this time which may give insight into the aforementioned square with Venus.

• Mode ~ Cardinal, or initiative energies remain strongest during this lunar period.
• Elements ~ Earth energies are strongest followed by Fire, so physical concerns dominate with will a close second. Air still is in a weakened state so avoid indecisiveness.
• Rays ~ The 7th Ray of Ceremonial Order and Magic, and the 1st Ray of Will/Power are strongest with organization the strongest influence supporting the initiating Cardinal energies.

Magickal Workings

With the Moon in her waxing phase, magicks of increase can be worked during this time involving communication, healing, or gain of some type. Planetary sigils for Mercury or Jupiter can be used in support as can runes for balanced energy exchange such as Gebo or Ansuz, among others. Herb magicks are another option, burning those of significance to your working on some charcoal in a cauldron, allowing your intention to be transmuted by Fire and invoked by Air. Mercury aligns with communication and Jupiter is expansive, so the sky’s the limit, really.

It seems as if our emotions are still driving things right now although we’re also feeling drawn to interaction with others. Our inner voice can inform as to what’s best for us at this time. So, listen to your own wise counsel. We don’t do enough of that.
