No, Donald, The Buck Stops With You
Donald believes he can spread the blame around for the government shutdown. But then this is a man who refers to himself in the third person. His avoidance of responsibility is his default state.
Whether he remembers the words that come out of his mouth or not, he changes his tune as often as he sniffs. Easily manipulated, he was ready to sign the bill and then after a couple of right wing pundits began ridiculing him, he quickly changed his stance and shut down the government.
Any attempts to explain what will happen to federal workers falls on deaf ears. He simply does not care, calling most of them Democrats, as if that part of the citizenry does not matter. Never mind about the contract workers who will receive nothing. Never mind about all those that do business with these people. Never mind about that because Donald’s campaign promise is all that matters. Truth be damned.
And now he wants to share responsibility for a decision he claimed he would “take the mantle” on. He was proud to shut down the government, he said. Proud to disrupt lives of hard working American citizens, also known as voters. But then, he dismisses them all by calling them, Democrats.
I can only imagine what folks, many of whom are veterans, are going to do when their pay is delayed for who knows how long. All for the histrionics of a delusional man-child. And now he’d indicating he will declare a national emergency if Democrats won’t agree to his wall demands. It will go to court and if past is prologue, it will be overturned. He wants to move money around and have the military or Army Corps of Engineers build his wall/fence/barrier/steel slatted behemoth, stealing land via eminent domain to do it. More lawsuits will be filed and at the end of the day, there will be no wall.
It’s so odd that he won’t listen to people who work there. It’s so odd that he refuses to hear what they really need to increase and strengthen our border security. Democrats are listening and are ready to give them what they want. But then, they’re the adults in the room while the man-child slams his fist on the table and walks away.
So, no, Donald. I’m sure you want to spread the blame around to the point that it no longer touches you, but that’s not going to happen. The American people will not stand for it. We see you for who you are, you sad Emperor wannabe with no clothes.
You’re not going to win this, Donald. The American people will not allow it.
