The Moon moves into Libra and the 1st House of life and health today, 24 January at 8:03 PM PST until Void-of-Course begins at 9:20 PM PST on the 26th. Peace and harmony are favored during this lunar period specifically involving marriage and partnership. In the 1st House, our focus is on our emotional balance and well-being as we engage others. Other than an opposition with Chiron, things are looking fairly harmonious during this lunar period. Address and honor any feelings that come up for what they can teach you and then let them go. The opportunity is there right now to heal old wounds. Although difficulties may arise with the Moon quincunx (inconjunct) Uranus, it’s wise to remain flexible and respect the needs of others. The Moon trine Juno suggests that this is a time to derive our emotional nourishment from others; and, sextile Ceres, this may take the form of female friends or family.

Unconventional influences are in play with the Sun in Aquarius and this may be an exciting time for new experiences and freedom of expression. Perhaps take an impromptu excursion with some female friends, have a nice lunch, and enjoy the conversation!

However, Algafra followed by Azubene are the active Mansions and if performing love magick, understand that it may be better to wait until Azubene is active. Algafra creates tension and conflict between couples potentially leading to divorce. The witch may want to heal discord between others and to banish any negative intention or behavior during this lunar period and as long as a wedding isn’t involved, Azubene may provide a better influence on the working. Algafra’s influence destroys enemies so a magickal working could focus on dispelling any influences that might be coming between the couple.
