Lunar Transits for 3-5 February 2019

The Moon moves into Aquarius and the 1st House of individuality, self-awareness, and health at 5:05 AM PST on 3 February 2019 until it begins Void of Course at 3:58 PM PST on the 5th. Aquarius reflects the humanitarian within and the next couple of days offers us the opportunity to spend time with friends and family, enjoying a supportive relationship with others. Aspects

Outer planets along with the Midheaven provide the strongest influence during this lunar period with strong emotions influencing our experiences. The Moon square Uranus suggests a tendency toward inflexibility may impact our relationships with others which may be from a semisquare with Neptune. So, take care that any sensitivity is extended to others instead of focused upon the self, allowing a sextile with Chiron to extend empathy to others in need. If interactions surround co-workers during this lunar period, remember that compassion goes a long way in building strong connections.

Magickal Workings

Since the New Moon occurs at 1:04 PM PST on the 4th (at my location at least), it might be best to talk about magicks performed during the New Moon. Again, the witch can perform a triple-aspect working surrounding the New Moon, or it can focus on establishing something new, healing, or rebirth. If the Monthly Tarot reading I just posted here on the blog is any indication, February may be a month for transformation, so magickal workings surrounding such may be worked during the New Moon.

Observe colors, incense, and crystals that correspond to Monday, the day of the New Moon. You can see from the Planetary Hours table below that the Moon will be transitioning from Mercury to the Moon itself at 1:04 PM, corresponding to the 8th hour of the daylight table, and planetary influences surrounding leadership, communication, and organization are also favored during this New Moon in Aquarius.

Mansions 24 and 25 will be active during this time, with the 25th, Caadalhacbia, influencing during the New Moon. Useful in any number of nefarious intentions, it might be best to redirect Caadalhacbia’s energy in a healing spell, for example, to destroying the cause of the illness. I would avoid magickal workings that bring harmony unless you’re focusing on the catalyst for conflict.

Honestly, Mansion 24, Caadacohot, influences harmony between partners, so any working surrounding that should be performed on the 3rd, before the Moon travels into the next Mansion. If all else fails, the witch can always use the New Moon to align in Goddess presence, allowing that which no longer serves to simply fall away.

February seems to be a month where unexpected transformation may occur, particularly in our relationships with others. For the next lunar period, we may want to take time over the New Moon to seek silent counsel from Goddess presence. Her wise resonance heals and restores, something we can all use right now.
