Lunar Transits for 10-13 February 2019

The Moon moves into practical Taurus and the 9th House of dreams, knowledge, and journeys today, 10 February 2019, at 5:29 PM PST until Void Of Course begins at 2:26 PM PST on the 12th. Although the 9th House may tempt us to begin an adventure of some kind, the Moon in Taurus favors staying home focusing on more routine tasks. Time will tell which side wins out. The chart is below:

• Mode ~ Fixed or stable energies dominate during this lunar period, flexibility is required.
• Elements ~ Fire and Earth dominate. With Water (emotions) and Air (intellect) in a weakened state, our practical side may have a difficult time against a fiery will. For best integration, will should be in balance with the practical side of self.
• Rays ~ The 1st Ray of Will/Power is strongest. Allow Higher Self to inform the process for the best balance.
• Signs ~ Taurus (Earth) and Leo (Fire) dominate aligning with the Elemental balance as well.
• Houses ~ The 5th House involving creativity along with the 9th House of knowledge and higher learning dominate this lunar period.

Aspects

A Semisquare with Neptune may leave emotions in flux but the Moon conjunct Uranus should provide us with the flexibility needed to deal with anything that might arise. A sextile with Mercury along with a conjunction with Mars suggests that we’ll have plenty of energy available for new experiences and the clarity to express our thoughts in a respectful and compassionate manner. The real influence, however, may lie with Taurus and the tendency to fear change. Will we be able to use the energy for new experiences to our advantage, or will our fear of change hold us back?

With the 9th House active, trance work is favored during this time, particularly on Monday. Selenite and moonstone are useful as is fluorite for trance work or meditation. Magicks involving the mundane aspects of life can also be worked. The 3rd and 4th Mansions of the Moon are active during this lunar period, although, Azorya, the 3rd Mansion may be the most favorable for hunting of all kinds including research, job hunting, or simply divining the location of a lost object.

Although the Taurean influence may leave us wanting to stay home, adventure’s call may dominate. Strike a balance between the two if you must, taking care of mundane tasks, but then go have a good time. You deserve it!
