- Modes ~ Mutable, or changeable, energies are prominent suggesting a need for flexibility during this lunar period. Avoid procrastination.
- Elements ~ Earth, or physical concerns, dominates with Air (intellect), Fire (will), and Water (emotions) essentially in balance.
- Rays ~ The 6th Ray of Devotion and Idealism dominates the Ray influences reinforcing integrity, right order, and clarity.
- Signs ~ With the Sun in Pisces, the energy of compassion blends well with Libra’s sense of fairness and balance.
- Houses ~ The 1st House of identity and the 7th House of marriage and partnership are primary influences.
- Lunar Phase ~ Full to waning, Crone phase.
Aspects
Libra is all about balance and recent events may have left us feeling out of sorts. A quincunx with Uranus suggests that we should avoid exerting our will lest the truth of the matter elude us. And an opposition with Chiron reminds us to pay attention to how our body reacts to feelings of past wounding. Are we experiencing an unhealthy focus on past issues or hurt feelings? If so, if we are indeed feeling out of sorts, that may be a contributing factor. Regard any past woundings for the message they bring and then let them go. A sesquisquare with the Ascendant counsels us to seek balance with others, particularly if emotions are running high during this lunar period.
Magickal Workings
Workings during the Crone phase of the Full Moon can focus on alignment, trance work, and bringing something to fruition. I’ve also performed banishings and bindings during this phase. I like the additional energy provided by the Full Moon and I often use cord magick during those workings. I love the simplicity of cord or knot magick. It’s the witch and the cord, tying knots to invoke an intention. Nothing else is necessary, although crystals, incense, and candles are always welcome. Although the exact time of the Crone phase of the Full Moon occurs on Wednesday, workings over Thursday and Friday can utilize that same influence along with Jupiter and expansive magicks on Thursday, with Friday reserved for Venus and her loving influence. The 15th Mansion of the Moon, Algafra, influences on Thursday and any magicks seeking to interrupt flow of all kinds can be performed. On Friday, the 16th Mansion, Azubene, continues a similar influence.
Although balance is a hallmark of Libra, this particular lunar period may have us feeling a bit at odds with others. Take time out for self-nurturing, both physical and spiritual, especially if old issues of an emotional nature arise.
