Unity Consciousness Bindrune
On my Youtube series, Somewhat Daily Tarot and Rune, I’ve noticed a trend with the cards and runes toward a rejection of self-imposed division and a return to unity consciousness. It feels like folks are simply tired of the conflict and they’re beginning to question the narrative offered by our Divider-in-Chief. Friends, co-workers, and families have been at odds with each other long enough and some reconciliation would be nice.
As I’ve suggested during the readings, we don’t have to always agree or even like each other to unite in a shared purpose. And if the cards and runes are any indication, they appear to suggest that we should rise above our disagreements and carry on together. It may not make the current occupant of the White House happy, but it doesn’t feel like humanity can take anymore. Not if we expect to resolve this self-imposed division.
Now, it may seem odd to consider this division to be self-imposed, but every time we choose one thing or another, the consequences are essentially self-imposed by the choice that we made. The consequences may be unavoidable or unforeseen, but if we’re involved in the choice, then we play a part in the whole experience. We may be tempted to point the finger at an instigator, but that’s fair only to a point. Eventually, we need to realize that we bought in or otherwise aligned with the perception offered by said instigator. We need to own it and then make another choice which appears to be the new direction the readings over at Somewhat Daily Tarot and Rune are describing.
Given my love for bindrunes, I thought I would create one as a focus in trancework for unity consciousness. Change can be difficult and with the endless reinforcement for division that so many of us are experiencing, going within to find the truth may be necessary. As always, I set my intention, reached into the rune bag and began allowing the runes to fall through my fingers until a final rune is left. I repeated this process three more times for a total of four runes for this bindrune. Five is my typical limit but it felt right to end with four. So, let’s take a look at each rune.
Beginning at the lower left and moving deocil (clockwise) around the bindrune, Uruz, the second rune from the Elder Futhark, provides the impetus for the bindrune as the force behind manifested form. Here, we create the foundation for change, in this case, a return to unity consciousness. Because, in truth, that’s what this is, a return to who we are as aspects of the Creator manifested into form. Uruz, then, is the originating thought from which the intention is cast, primal, courageous, and strong. This rune of changes removes all self-doubt and fosters healing both within and without.
Thurisaz, the third rune of the Elder Futhark appears next providing the energy for new beginnings, bringing into control chaotic energy, behavior, and perception. Resembling the thorn, Thurisaz is also regarded as Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir as it breaks through situations that are difficult or out-of-control, transmuting fear-based response into Source-based vision. Catalytic in nature, Thurisaz renders enemies harmless, fostering instead harmony and unity with others.
With its antlers pointing to Spirit, Algiz, the elk and the fifteenth rune of the Elder Futhark, provides a connection with the Higher Self ensuring safety and protection from harm. With this energy, we experience the truth of the greater unified presence within which our collective consciousness resides. Algiz promotes harmony and peace within and with others and as a representation of the BiFrost bridge between physical and non-physical form, provides the direction for our return to unity consciousness.
Finally, I drew Mannaz, the twentieth rune of the Elder Futhark, representing the fragility of humanity. With this rune, we define our humanity as Spirit-based with love, fellowship, and joy as our foundation. Mannaz fosters integration and a soul-level or psychic harmony with others, strengthening and reinforcing partnerships of all kinds. With Mannaz, we align intuition with the rational mind, as we let go with intention all conflict that is illusory and beneficial to no one but the individual at the heart of the conflict.
I began drawing the bindrune by observing each rune and then noticing the initial pattern with Mannaz. Mannaz incorporates Wunjo forward and reversed illustrating the inward and outward nature of joy and harmony as well as Gebo in the center indicating balanced energy exchange with others. With that balanced exchange as my premise, I decided to utilize Thurisaz, Uruz, and Algiz in a dual or multiple fashion to illustrate both the diversity found within unity consciousness as well as the balanced polarity within and between Spirit and ego (form).
I drew Mannaz first, and then extended the outside lines to create Thurisaz, forward and reversed. By adding a small line in the center, I was able to include Uruz, forward and reversed as well. From there, I extended the X in the center of Mannaz (Gebo – balanced energy exchange) to create one of the antlers for Algiz on each corner, drawing the third antler to complete the rune. From there, I drew a circle around the bindrune and added four crescent moons representing change and transformation.
I used a round piece of birch that my husband cut for me to burn in the sigil and centered the bindrune in the darker area of the wood. After blessing and consecrating the bindrune, it’s now ready for use in trancework or to carry as a talisman to foster unity consciousness with others.
You know, it’s like we’re in a tornado of sorts, unable to gain any clarity while the winds blow and the rain falls. The thing is, we cannot continue this way. The stress alone is simply too much to bear and many people are reporting stress-related health problems. And that’s the last thing anyone needs when our health insurance is being threatened on a daily basis.
Combining runic energies together in this fashion creates a powerful form of magick. It blesses us all and creates the space for a return to unity consciousness, our natural state of Source Presence that forever beckons us home. Held in the hand, allow its resonance to wash your soul clean of all division and chaos. Our division is an illusion anyway. It always has been. Allow yourself to know that truth.
Blessings to all!
